Third generation

Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes of the second console generation, the Nintendo Family Computer began the third console generation, which would see a dramatic change in the types, as well as the quality of the games for home consoles. Heated rivalries, and even all-out wars that would carry on for years would begin here.
